To protect you and your family’s physical and mental health and wellness, Lakeside offers affordable traditional and Health Savings Account (HSA) medical health plans along with dental and vision plan options. We know employees like options and that’s why Lakeside offers two types of medical plans – traditional and Health Savings Account (HSA). We understand employees want to control how they manage their personal health. This starts with choosing the best medical plan option for their family.

If you’re an employee of Lakeside, you have access to a medical professional 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, at no cost. Through our exclusive telehealth program employees and their family members have access to a U.S. board-certified licensed physician at a moment’s notice. Whether or not an employee has medical insurance coverage through Lakeside, we provide all employees access to experts that can help. We understand falling ill or having an accident can happen at any time so this program is offered to give our employees and their family members that extra peace of mind at no additional cost.
When it comes to navigating all things medical, from finding doctors and specialits to locating quality hospitals and clinics or simply trying to understand a confusing bill it can be overwhelming and quite stressful. Lakeside offers free support from a healthcare advocate who knows our medical and dental plans. They can help with basic network questions, translating medical terms into plain language or even help in resolving complex billing questions. Our advocates will work with employees to find the best specialist for their needs and the needs of their family members.

Our advocates can even be used to help employees during the annual open enrollment period to review and educate employees on Lakeside medical benefit options. They want to help our employees choose the plans that will best meet the needs of their family. We understand the complexity and the amount of time managing medical benefits can take. Lakeside wants to help lighten the load and provide employees with the resources needed to give them confidence in their decision making and peace of mind when it comes to health matters and medical expenses.
Covering the cost of healthcare can be stressful. Lakeside offers an employer-sponsored Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to allow employees to save tax-free money for that reason. Employees who elect the traditional medical health plan may enroll in the FSA and save money for future medical, dental and vision expenses that may be incurred in the current year. And because the plan is company-sponsored, employees may access their FSA funds right away.

Wellness

We understand wellness matters and that’s why for more than 10 years Lakeside has offered employees the opportunity to participate in the annual onsite health screening program. Conducted by a licensed agent, participating employees receive a comprehensive health report which includes a summary of their lab results, a biometric scorecard, health profile history comparing previous year’s results and medical referral guidelines. While providing current health insights for our employee’s, many employees share this report with their primary care providers as well. We believe a healthy employee makes for a happy employee! We offer this benefit to help our employees achieve the healthiest, most vibrant life possible.
Life is not always easy. Sometimes a personal or professional issue can get in the way of maintaining a healthy, productive life. Lakeside offers an Employees Assistance Program giving employees unlimited confidential access to a professional 24 hours a day. Issues such as stress, depression, financial issues, grief issues or drug and alcohol abuse topics can be discussed.

The Lakeside EAP program offers employees legal assistance and financial services as well as access to a library of education articles and resources. We want our employees to be happy. We believe having access to experts at the right time can make all the difference in the world. We offer this benefit at no cost to all our employees.
Interested in sponsoring a wellness event? Lakeside encourages employees to engage in and support each other with wellness activities outside the dealership. If you’re inspired to coordinate a team for a local 5K or 10K walk/run or even a marathon, Lakeside will sponsor all employee-participants. Moving matters. Consider leading a wellness event.
For those employees who want to stop smoking, Lakeside offers a cessation program to support their personal goals. We know this is a difficult decision to make and an incredibly challenging process. For more than 20 years, Lakeside has been providing support to employees who wish to make this change in their life.

Peace of Mind

Lakeside employees are encouraged to participate in the company retirement saving program. With no waiting period, employees are able to begin contributing to their 401(k) savings plan immediately. With a rich company match, employees will quickly begin to build up their retirement nest egg in no time. The Lakeside plan offers many different investment options and employees are able to elect between a traditional, pre-tax or an after-tax Roth-deferral program.
Your retirement matters and that’s why Lakeside partnered with a financial planning group that specializes in retirement planning. Working one on one with our employees, consultants are available to review employee 401(k) investments, answer investment questions or even review the employee’s entire investment portfolio. Their objective is to provide our employees with investment strategies to help them achieve their retirement goals. Whether an employee has a personal financial planner or not, this consulting service is offered by Lakeside at no charge to all employees contributing into the Lakeside 401(k) plan.
We are grateful for the men and women who serve in the U.S. Armed forces and we are honored when they become part of the Lakeside family. From time to time, enlisted or reserve-status employees are required to fulfill their military duties and Lakeside is ready to accommodate. We know each individual’s situation is different, but rest assured Lakeside is committed to working with you and eager to have you return to your regular job duties with us.
We don’t want an accident to catch our employees off guard. That’s why Lakeside provides Accident Insurance to employees at no cost. We want to protect our employee’s finances and provide peace of mind in the event of an accident. If you break a leg, we don’t want you to break the bank account too. Lakeside provides employees with free Accident Insurance coverage as a supplement to their personal medical coverage. Whether an employee has medical insurance coverage through Lakeside or not, employees are provided Accident Insurance at no cost.
Because we believe in the importance of protecting our employee’s income we offer employees short-term disability insurance coverage for just a few cents a day. With this exclusive group rate pricing, our employees can rest assure they will have financial support. In the event they become disabled from a non-work-related injury or sickness, disability income benefits will provide a partial replacement of lost income.

Like the traditional FSA for medical-related expenses, the Dependent Care FSA (DCFSA) is a pre-tax benefit account used to pay for eligible dependent care services, such as preschool, summer day camp, before or after school programs, and child or adult daycare. No need to wait until the annual open enrollment period, Lakeside employees can enroll on their start date and begin saving pre-tax money right away!
Basic Life Insurance can help provide financially for your loved ones if something were to happen to you. At no cost to the employee, Lakeside provides in group life and accidental death insurance. Our employees can take advantage of the Lakeside group rate if they would like to purchase additional coverage for themselves or their family members.

Work Life Balance

We understand some employees prefer nontraditional work schedules to help support their families or to achieve work-life balance. For this reason, Lakeside is committed to working with our employees to help achieve this goal.
Lakeside provides Paid Time Off (PTO) benefits to full-time and part-time employees. Every employee begins earning time on their first day on the job. This program gives employees more flexibility than a traditional vacation day program making it easy to use for planned or unplanned absences. We know our employees want to manage their own time off needs and this program provides convenience. Best of all, earned, unused PTO is not lost! There’s no such thing as use it or lose it here. The Lakeside policy is use it now or use it later. You can even get paid for your unused time. You earned it – you decide.
Full-time Lakeside employees enjoy 56 hours of company paid holiday time each year. As a family-owned and operated business, we understand the value of family time and the importance of work-life balance. Training and Development

Due to rapid technology advancements and innovative truck engineering, the need for ongoing training for Lakeside diesel technicians is essential. Our techs are trained by the best in the industry in order to stay on top of their game. Lakeside customers have a high level of confidence when they bring their trucks to any of our shops because they know we have truck OEM, engine manufacturer and ASE certified experts working on their vehicles.

We are committed to the ongoing development of every diesel technician regardless of years of experience or skill level. Being well trained by the best in the industry is what you’ll get as an employee of Lakeside. When it comes to training, there is no cost to our technician, Lakeside covers 100% of the training costs. To maintain your skills, we offer onsite factory training, apprentice programs, self-study courses and ASE certification programs and offer a Tuition Reimbursement Program to qualifying candidates.
